joey1985
Who played with them? Besides the singer bowl jam I only ever heard of Phil Carson and Keith Moon ever jamming on stage at a Led Zeppelin show. Actually I feel like I'm forgetting another person maybe???? LedZep342
The only guest performers I heard of performing with Zep are Phil Carson who played bass in C'mon Everybody 9/28/71 and 6/30/80, and Keith Moon who was at the end of the 6/23/77 show, there's probably a few more people who performed with them, but those are the only two people I know of who performed with Zep. Administrators sam_webmaster Posted September 20, 2011 Administrators Share Posted September 20, 2011 ??/??/69 Venue??? In "John Bonham - A Thunder of Drums" book, Vanilla Fudge drummer Carmen Appice claimed he and Vanilla Fudge bassist Tim Bogert surprised Jimmy Page & Robert Plant one night by replacing Bonzo and JPJ on "How Many More Times." This was at the Edmonton show: ledzeppelin.com/show/july-29-1969 , I have a link there to a Carmine Appice interview discussing it. Another one for the list: Jerry Greenberg (who became president of Atlantic Records in 1974) told me about jamming with Zep at the Garden. It was either '70 or '71 and he said Bonham invited him to join in on percussion (congas) during the middle of Whole Lotta Love.
