Why wasn't Organ Solo/Thank You included on the 2007 TSRTS reissue?

Just on the final night of July 29th. I think the only other time it was played on the U.S. portion of the '73 tour was in L.A. on June 3rd. Both are great versions. Some of the best versions of this song, which blow away the studio version, which I was never that crazy about.

Thanks for answering my question.

IMHO, no complete video footage was shot for that song (or at Shepperton Studios), and on the new releases, Jimmy didn't have a "film only" song or an "album only" song. The exception is the complete Heartbreaker.

But the multi's would be there so why not on the CD?

Stay off the video for once Ledzepfilm and keep with the topic. We were not talking about video footage for this, but why "Thank You " was kept off the re-release of "The Song Remains The Same" cd back in 2007. I enjoy your comments and you provide great info, but this time it's not what it's about. Perhaps, another time! :D

The cover says the complete setlist was included...NOT!

Does anyone know why this was excluded from the DVD and CD?

It is misleading to say this is the complete setlist. Maybe that was some marketing dept. and an oversight by the band not to corret it? I was very disappointed Thank You was not included on both. I heard an audience recording online I thought it was an excellent version. Maybe the professional recording was missing some parts ? this does seem likely to me given the other gaps.

My own theory is the song was not included so they would have something extra to include on some future release of TSRTS or otherwise.

I have no proof of this but I can only hope that this nugget was professionally recorded audio and/or video wise well enough so that it can be restored and included in some release at a future date.

i found this audio w/organ solo

i agree....the three days after version has always been my fave

i believe "thank you" would have been the last tune played on the 73 tour
