Upside:

Throw as many drummer jokes at it that you want.

No need to buy drinks for it.

Pack it into the back of the truck with the rest of the instruments where hopefully the old human drummer wasn't packed in the past.

Will never play "too

fucking loud!!".You program it as you like.

No need anymore to "give it up for the drummer!".

Objects thrown from crowd won't damage.

Downside:

Guitarist now has no-one to blame for blowing a chord.

Less cowbell.

Drummer doesn't relax or wait between shows anymore for his "Cinnamon Girl".

Make sure Robodrummer is frequently oiled, with real oil.Unlike human drummer who's oiling needs differ greatly.

Less groupies.

Initial cost of Robodrummer far outweighs any chance of band ever breaking even.

I just heard today that the great Ed Cassidy from Spirit recently passed away on December 6th.

He lived to the ripe old age of 89. He was a great drummer .... and he was shaving his head years before it was cool.

Love the 3 bass drums. :^) I saw Randy California in SF one day taking pics of the bay bridge while I was fishing.
