I liked Zeppelin's longest version ever played clocking in at

38 minutes in Seattle 1975 not to be confused with others

that clock in at 40 minutes which had Plant rambling on

before the track starts which added to the tracks time.....

Also I do like the Earls Court versions, plus great Stairway

versions at Earls Court are killer....

Led Zeppelin may have been at their musicainship peek during their European tour of 1973. What Bonham, Jones, and Page were doing on a nightly basis was spectacular. Here is my favorite version of Dazed And Confused. I have multiple versions of this entire show. This post is from youtube, however, it isn't the entire song - from Hamburg, Germany - March 21, 1973 - ENJOY!

Here's a sample -

That Seattle version is fantastic! I think it's over 39 though...very close to 40.

And 3/27/75 L.A. is over 44 min not counting Plantations, and there are two cuts in the tape so it was likely closer to 50 than 40. It could've been even longer as well but Bonzo forces Jimmy into the return to the riff...

My second favourite, I was listening again today and nearly cried at the intensity of the ethereal interlude. Jimmy's playing is so dramatic, coupled with Robert's rendition of 'Old Man', it's truely something amazing.

So that's what he's singing...I've never been able to get an answer to that. Who's that by?
