The color of Jimmy Page's guitar sound

Recommended Posts

I was reading on the net that Eddie Van Halen's sound is call the Brown sound.

So what is Jimmy Pages color sound? I think that Tony Iommi's sound is the black sound. While I feel that Pages sound is the Blue sound. James Browns guitars are the red sound.

To me his sound was an ever changing colour. Think Neil Young said it best " Like a water washed diamond... in a river of sin "

Various shades of blue come to my mind when thinking back on his career from the lightest to the very deep rich tones.

A neon rainbow in the ultra-violet range with a touch of the infra-red spectrum!

We're on the same wavelength, as this is how I feel about Jimmy's guitar tonal palette, too.

BLACK.

BLACKER THAN THE BLACKEST PIT OF HELL!

You've apparently given this matter a lot of thought. ;)

Depends on the drugs one takes.

:hysterical: This might be the best answer yet...leave it to an Amsterdamer to mention drugs, hehe.

I should know. I've been there. Unfortunately, I haven't come back yet...

A deep vibrant purple with a touch of golden yellow. Two colors that are opposite but complimentary to each other.

Different tones of green, blue and turquoise. When I hear deep sound it likes posion green and the high sound likes a very beautiful turquoise-blue what I've never seen before.

It's also brown : Van Halen and Page do have similiarities in terms of guitar sound...try to listen VH1 and LZIV, the guitars sound very similar...
