I love Joe Walsh.  I have seen him three times, all in Saint Louis.  The best show I saw him at was in a venue that only held a couple of hundred people.  It was just like a big barroom with a stage.  I managed to literally stand in front of the stage near the speakers that were on the left hand of the stage.  Joe and his band members came out wearing animal masks and opened with the "Confessor".  Ever since seeing Joe Walsh so close up that night, I have regarded Joe as one of the Greatest Guitarists ever.

Saw the show tonight at the Warner in DC.  No Pope traffic to speak of...

Great show.  This was the first time I've seen him and hope he comes back so I can go again.

I wish he would come down here as a solo artist, again.  Glad you had such a good time, ebk!  Did he play "Pretty Maids All In A Row" by any chance?  Every time I've seen him away from the Eagles it's been a really good show.  Did he play a lot from his last solo disc?  It was a good one.  Take care.

:peace:

He did play "Pretty Maids", but didn't play a lot from the last album.  In fact, I think the only song he did from that was the title track.  The show was about and hour and a half, and since there wasn't an opening act, we were home at a reasonable hour.  And since I noticed that, I guess I'm ... old :D

We had a fabulous evening.  Hope he gets to your area soon!!

He occasionally reunites with the James Band, or at least used to. Hard to beat that!

I like it. He gives you a little of everything. Sometimes solo, sometimes, Eagles, sometimes James Gang.

James Gang were truly great...i cant believe i never bought that album, i missed out, for decades. I have heard, walk away, on commercial radio over the last month doing volunteer work and its unbelievably great. Its very cool that it gets commercial airplay like that...1971, very cool. With some of the other joe walsh solo stuff, its good, always was good...i have one vinyl record. Definitely better than the eagles, my 2 cents

Awesome, but quite short show last night in Westbury, Long Island. Funny - no encore, but Joe seemed very chatty in between songs:
  1. Walk Away
  2. Pretty Maids All in a Row

Joe Walsh is co-headlining a tour with Bad Company, tour starts this May. It's being called the "One Hell of a Night" tour. I am definitely going to this. I posted about it here:
