Cool! I had seen that wacky Italian TV show appearance for "Mean Streets" but never this. But I have visited that dinosaur park near Milan.

No band has done a worse job of maintaining their archive than Van Halen. Yes, even worse than Led Zeppelin. While Led Zeppelin did not have the foresight of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, and Pink Floyd, at least we have the BBC Sessions and the Live DVD compilation, as well as the "How the West Was Won", "The Song Remains the Same", and the 1969 French show that comes with the Led Zeppelin I deluxe box as official releases.

If you are a Van Halen fan, the only thing that is out officially and in pro-quality from the band's glory days is this three song video from the June 11-12-13 !981 Oakland shows 40 years ago this weekend. That's it. Sure, you can find sounboards from the Dave days and some videos from 1982 Landover and the 1983 South American and US Festival gigs. But those are bootlegs. The band has yet to deliver any official live release from the DLR era. Scandalous. And now with the passing of Eddie, who knows what will happen?

For now, enjoy the only bit we have from their prime that the band has officially sanctioned...

The park must've made a real impression on you......🤭

Eh...you've seen one dinosaur park you've seen them all. You'd be surprised how many dinosaurs litter the roadside in America. Well, at least they used to  Many of those classic roadside attractions have withered away from neglect or overdevelopment.

Well,I suppose you have to put the old actors, politicians, radio and TV hosts somewhere.

Shame about them withering away though.

Mammoth WVH postponed their August 18 Whisky show because someone in their tour group got covid. But apparently their opening slot for the Guns & Roses show in Los Angeles last night went on as scheduled. A setlist is up at setlist.fm

Yup, it’s ppd to October 12. They had to cancel a couple of GnR dates last week too, out of precaution.
