JimmyPageZoSo56
I've figured out the first part but not the part where he moves up the fret board quickly. I feel like he ends on the 12th fret, 1st string. Help anyone? http://www.ledzeppelin-database.com/geekbaseweb/Songpage.aspx?Songid=328&sort=0 the part at :14 seconds
googlywoogly
Here is a decent cover version of that section. Unsure if this will be helpful or not.

JimmyPageZoSo56
wow, that dude is awesome! If you ask me, he should be using the bridge pick up.
googlywoogly
I don't think he was using the proper amount of vibrato either. When I watch that section of TSRTS it always blows my mind when Page plays that section and the amount of vibrato he puts on some of those notes as fast as he plays them. I think at the end there though he reverts back to an E minor/major pentatonic phrasing there on the 12th fret. I think the song is in the key of E which would make it make sense if he ends that phrase on the high E string 12th fret (which is an E note). Just my 2 cents from a total guitar amateur. (I think that guitar/drum jam they play right after the circular funk section may be some of the grooviest music ever performed.). Slide to 3:22 and listen to around 4:09ish for the guitar drum I mention above: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQhYipHiT4Q&
JimmyPageZoSo56
Oh yeah dude, you're right. He's basically hitting as many notes as he can as he climbs the neck. It took me a while but I did also figure out the riff he plays before going into the Circular Funk section. He uses that riff before going into the Mars; the Bringer of War section as well.
