Even though there's a good percentage of artists performing at Hopscotch in Raleigh in September that I'd like to see, this line up is much more up my musical alley.

YR15: Yep Roc Records Celebrates 15th Anniversary with 3 Nights of Music – October 11th-13th, 2012

Yep Roc Records, the artist-driven label that proudly refuses to be labeled, will celebrate its 15th anniversary with Yep Roc 15, a three-night concert blowout October 11, 12 and 13, at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC, featuring once-in-a-lifetime performances, collaborations, and recording sessions by current and past Yep Roc artists.

The stellar initial Yep Roc 15 line-up includes Nick Lowe, Robyn Hitchcock, Fountains of Wayne, Eleni Mandell, John Doe, The Sadies and many more with additional artists to be announced soon. John Wesley Harding will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

Yep Roc 15 tickets will go on sale Friday, May 18th at 10am EST. More information and tickets will be available at www.yr15.com.

A kick-off party on Wednesday, October 10, at Local 506, featuring Los Straitjackets, The Fleshtones, Southern Culture On The Skids, and Countdown Quartet.

A Yep Roc artists reception with appetizers and drinks at the West End Wine Bar on Friday, October 12.

A star-studded collaborative recording session with Yep Roc artists on Saturday, October 13, hosted by Chris Stamey (Alex Chilton, The dB’s) and Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5).

Every month leading up to YR15, the label will make one previously unreleased track from its archive available for free. WATCH the video for a new Robyn Hitchcock track “There Goes The Ice” — featuring KT Tunstall and written on an expedition to the North Pole — via Billboard.com and DOWNLOAD the MP3 now for free.

Based in Haw River, NC, Yep Roc Records was founded in 1997 by Tor Hansen and Glenn Dicker. Known for a genre-busting catalogue, Yep Roc has released over 300 albums, singles, videos and boxed sets to date. “If I’ve got my Yep Roc t-shirt on, I’m not really a part of one scene,” says Hansen. “I accept that, in fact I love it.”
