SweetLittleBaby
Saw this last night as I was browsing Amazon. I didn't think I remembered seeing it that long ago and upon further inspection I realised that it's not to be released until October. Apparently this is an "oral autobiography" by Brad Tolinski in which Jimmy supposedly participated. Just wondering if anyone else had seen this and whether or not it would be worth spending my money on. http://www.amazon.com/Light-Shade-Conversations-Jimmy-Page/dp/0307985717/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341324967&sr=8-1&keywords=light+and+shade%3A+conversations+with+jimmy+page
DAS
I pre-order my copy a while back. All the other biographies the band had no part in or actively condemned (except for Cole's book since he was an eye witness to many of the events). If the others are worth a read then this one certainly should be.
mstork
Is this actually a biography written by Tolinski? I was under the impression that it's just a collection of Guitar World interviews with Jimmy over the years...
kaiser
I imagine that's exactly what it is with maybe a few previously unpublished insights by Tolinski. Page seems to trust him as every year they do an interview together & Tolinski has gotten him to be a bit more open than Page usually is with journalists. Regardless, I'm sure it's worth having even though I've bought every Page issue of Guitar World since his special edition from 1986.
