joe (Liverpool)
When Major Major posted the words to Marian by Sisters of Mercy, it brought back memories for me of my time in Cornwall. I worked in a busy pub and it had two goths as glass collectors, we used to talk about music and tape each other albums. They got me into the Waterboys (only the first three albums), Then one day Dave taped me First and Last and Always, and I was amazed, I loved it upon first hearing. Just shows how one persons post in Random Lyrics could have brought back some memories of my 10 years in Cornwall. Anyway then I thought about the bad times and put on Plaistow Paticia by Ian Dury, it reminded me of some Cornish tart I knew. Sorry if I've gone on a bit.Does anyone else hear a record that reminds them of a particular time in their life. It was strange that such an innocuous post could have brought back really livid memories .

redrum
When I hear early stuff from the mid-60's it always brings back some good memories (before drugs fucked everything up)
Virginia
Many; I could write a book on that. I remember listening to "Faithfully" by Journey as my parents were driving me to college and we were taking the last exit. I was really excited and really nervous at the same time; it was kind of a crossroads moment. I always remember that when I hear that song. chillumpuffer
60's for me also. In the UK every saturday morning on Radio 2 there is "sounds of the 60's". 2 Hours of memories, nostalgia and great tunes. I'm sure that Jimmy plays on at least 5 tunes a week or at least is the producer. Great stuff
