Rock Historian Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 (edited) I'd love to be able to list every single show I've been to with dates included. It's been a dream/fantasy of mine to be able to go back in time to that very day before Hurricane Katrina and take things that I never did-to be saved from the aftermath of what happened. But as you may have read here already, or guessed-those things (my ticket stubs) along with 90% of everything else I owned was lost/destroyed... So without being able to remember every single show or dates...I'll give it my best shot-in no order or time frame. Jimmy Page, Robert Plant (3x), Rush (7x), ZZ Top (2x), Ted Nugent, Kiss, Lynyrd Skynyrd (3x), RATM, Lenny Kravitz, 311, Pantera, Aerosmith, Soundgarden, Tom Petty, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Ratt, Jeff Beck (2x), John Paul Jones, The Cramps, RHCP, Poison, Warrent (terrible) , Quiet Riot, Page & Plant (2x), Alice Cooper, Black Crowes, The Melvins, LA Guns, Ween, Black Sabbath, Tool (2x), Metallica, Gun's N' Roses, Demolition Doll Rods, Pink Floyd, Queensryche, Blue Murder, Candlebox, No Doubt, Journey, Night Ranger (terrible), Steve Miller, Doobie Brothers, Eyehategod, Spin Doctors, Crowbar (4x), Gavin Rosdale (Bush), Grand Funk, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Goatwhore, Jane's Addiction, Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana....... ....and many more that I can't recall without making a few phone calls...! Also have seen countless dozens of blues, metal and jazz shows (mostly Local acts-) in the city of NOLA. Example: Papa Grows Funk, Rebirth Brass Band, Topcats, Zebra, T-Bone Stone, Lillian Axe, Exhorder, Fats Domino, Dr. John, Better Than Ezra, Ernie Vincent, Decon John Moore and Walter "Wolfman" Washington, The Bills, The Pallbearers, Soilent Green. Electrophile Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Beck, David Gilmour, Bruce Springsteen (several times), Madonna, Rascal Flatts (my sister was too young to go alone, and I got suckered into going with), NSYNC (I was 18, I didn't have the best taste back then), Justin Timberlake & Christina Aguilera (that was one hell of a show; one of the best I've gone to), probably more than a few others I've forgotten. The David Gilmour show was the apex of my concert-going experience. He performed at the Rosemont Theater in my hometown of Chicago, and I went with a friend of mine. Seeing as he had Rick Wright on tour with him, it was the closest I ever got to seeing Pink Floyd live. I have a bootleg from that show, and it's great to listen to it and reminisce about having been there. I was maybe 7, 8 rows from the stage, and hearing the Comfortably Numb solo live and in person....holy shit. Blew my mind. Who needs drugs when you've got that? I was walking on clouds for weeks afterward. Quote
