Strider Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 The Andaz is terrible...a horrible shell of what the Continental Hyatt (Riot) House used to be. Same with the Whisky. Quote
Levee Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 The Andaz is terrible...a horrible shell of what the Continental Hyatt (Riot) House used to be. Same with the Whisky. That's a shame, sign of the times I guess. Hard to believe that much went on in about a 4 block area. Quote
Strider Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 And if you expand it to include a few more blocks east(from Crescent Heights to Fuller), you had the Chateau Marmont, Rodney's English Disco, "Rocker Denny's", "Rocker Ralphs", and the Coach House where the English roadies drank. Quote
henrybonzo Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 im from London but the Mrs is from LA, been down this way on various nights of the week, it just doesn't seem to have the vibe i imagined it would, it all seemed very orderly and in now way sleazy or riotous, which is a bit of a shame really Rainbows ok coz you can kinda "smoke",house of blues was $20 a beer, ridiculous! Cat and Fiddle was lively, Not been to the Whiskey or Roxy but to be honest, the Whiskey never has a good bill above the door, shame we are staying at the Andaz on our next visit, its pricey but worth it for the craic!
