You won't have to wait till the 26th to find out who sang. Check out the Washington Post tomorrow. They'll do an in-depth review

The bit about the symphony came from a friend of mine who works in wardrobe.

Got this from variety website not sure how complete it is

The Led Zeppelin tribute was naturally saved for the end with a high volume medley by the Mathes Band and accompanying artists including Kid Rock. It was emceed by Jack Black, who pronounced the group "the best rock and roll band of all time -- better than the Beatles and the Stones."

Zeppelin faves performed included the group's 1969 hit "Whole Lotta Love," featuring Lenny Kravitz and Craig Ross on guitar; "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You," featuring Rock; and "Black Dog," performed by the Foo Fighters (guitarist Dave Grohl, drummer Taylor Hawkins and bassist Nate Mendel). Finale was a spirited yet heart-warming version of "Stairway to Heaven" that sent the black-tie audience to the post-show dinner with ears ringing.

Thanks EBK! :)

December 26th won't get here fast enough!

Awesome line-up for Mr. Guy, too!

I love the fact that Jeff Beck was there, it really is fitting he got to play in front of his friend and honor a great blues-man at the same time.

Sounds like a wonderful night for all!

In looking at the honoree arrivals it struck me that the members of Led Zep never bring their wives or SOs or kids to such events as everyone else does. I'm sure their families would love to meet Buddy Guy or any number of other interesting people. Were they not at the Celebration Day premieres either?

At the reception at the White House you could see Logan, Jesse, Patty and Carmen in the audience and John Paul's wife, Maureen, was also there. Their families were also at the Celebration Day premieres. I think its a matter of privacy overall though. For the most part they seem to try and live their lives off stage away from the media and just being as normal as possible considering who they are. I remember an article a few years ago where Robert said something to the effect of it being very difficult to maintain a private life once you've opened it up to the press.

I still have no idea who the blonde was with Jimmy Page.

For those querying about the interview they did with Charlie Rose, CBS This Morning (for those in the States check your local CBS listings) is currently airing snippets from last night's event.

I'm sure the website will have more or a recap of it if you check it out later: http://www.cbsnews.com/cbsthismorning/
