paul carruthers
^^ Well, I guess "chewing" would be more accurate. Like how the flavor of Wrigley's doesn't run out after 5 minutes...

jimmie ray
Just finishing up a brutal double shift at work. Have a huge rack of St. Louis ribs waiting to go in oven when I get home - they can slow cook, while I catch up on sleep. Some muff when I wake up would be a nice appetizer... jabe
Muff must mean something different in the South. Noun and adjective. Means the same here as elsewhere. I just took a (little) liberty with a sandwich's name to see if someone would take a "dive" at my post. All banal attempts at humor by me aside, I would certainly jot down any recommendation Dd has when it come to New Orleans. She is spot on about Cafe Maspero, and there's no doubt in my mind she is accurate about any destination she suggests within that eclectic city. Easily one of the five cities in the United States one needs to experience.

I can just imagine the look on my gf's face if I told her I was going out to eat a muff.
