Tandoori chicken and veg curry. Chapattis. Momos to start, double choc chip Ice Cream to finish

This may inspire me to get off my butt and go out to get some Indian food later. Since I can't get to your house easily. :)

I'm preparing a pot of homemade soup for my dinner. My recipe uses the following:

1/2 lb. ground beef (brown first then drain the fat)

2 cans low sodium beef broth

1 can diced tomatoes (add the juice as well)

1 small onion peeled and diced

2 ribs celery diced

2 carrots peeled and sliced

half head of cabbage shredded

1 garlic clove minced

1 bay leaf

marjoram

black pepper

parsley

I'm making some corn muffins to eat with this.

Birthday dinner for my friend Erin at Le Diplomate. We had the mac & cheese for the table. I had the house salad, then the lamb shank. Spectacular! The other entrees were mussels and frites (Erin), and the salmon (my sister). Shared desserts were the creme brulee and the apple tart.

And yes, there was wine!

I'll never eat again...

Baked chicken thighs with a honey, soy sauce and onion powder glaze.

Ramen noodles with frozen Oriental vegetables added

Baked sweet potato in the jacket

It's not gourmet cuisine, but it's fast, reasonably nutritious and tastes good.

Sounds pretty good to me DD

Tonight's fayre:

Pan Fried Hake

Sweet Potato Wedges, oven baked with a dusting of Spanish Smoked Paprika & Cumin

Green Beans

Adding frozen vegetables to ramen noodles is a trick I learned during my grad student days. Is hake a fish?

Midnight. Coming out of the Mazzy Star concert and into the gauntlet of Danger Dog grill carts, haha.

Being a red-blooded American male, naturally I cannot resist the aroma of bacon, onions, and peppers on the grill, so of course I ordered a couple...bathed with plenty of spicy mustard. Feeling invincible, hehe.
