Idunn
The Young Man Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn is an old traditional song. Traditional songs were seldom written down, but rather passed on orally, so you often get several versions of the song. The basic story never changes though. There's a celtic song called Oh The Bonnie Swans, for instance, that made it's way to North America via immigrants, and became entrenched in Appalachian culture. Here, it became known as The Two Sisters or Dreadful Wind And Rain or Oh The Dreadful Wind And Rain (to name just a few variations). Gallows Pole and In My Time Of Dying are both traditional songs. When I was in my teens, I had an older friend who was a huge Dylan fan. I'll never forget the look on his face when I remarked how cool it was that Dylan covered Zeppelins "In My Time Of Dying". Hey, I was a teenager....what the hell did I know? Edited January 18, 2008 by Idunn

oceangal
I haven't been to a big concert in years, didn't think ticket prices were worth the headaches. I don't think I can come up with a good reason to avoid RP/AK, I'm going to have to cough up the dough if they do a show in Washington State. Will start a concert savings account now and start stocking up the Xanax!

Seems relative to the price of a lot of concerts these days, the RP/AK shows are running around 55-65 a ticket, which in my book is pretty reasonable. Yep, that seems about right......I had a fiend check on the K'ville tix and she said they were like $45.......either way, Allison alone is at least a $35-40 ticket....add Plant and it should go up at least $5-15.
