DavidZoso
This is a show I really wish would surface as I have heard it is in a collector's hands. This was the second time that Led Zeppelin played live on what was John Bonham's birthday. In some of the reviews it is said that Robert Plant had the audience sing Happy Birthday to Bonzo. I have a feeling this was a really good show because of all the reviews that people have posted in the timeline on this site. Also the video footage shows that it was a great start to the show. They had played the night before in Landover, Maryland and that was the final show out of a four night stand. That last show was probably the best out of the four and then the next show was another great start in Tampa, Florida on June 3rd-but was cut after only three songs due to rain and thunder. Another thing that is special about this show is in at least 3 reviews in the timeline people say they are almost sure they did 'Black Dog' as a second encore. This was only performed at two other shows on the US 1977 tour- New York 6-13 and Oakland,CA 7-23. Sue Dounim
Sweet photos! I would've liked it if Robert had worn that silver blouse more often that year.
DavidZoso
Sweet photos! I would've liked it if Robert had worn that silver blouse more often that year. He wore it on some of the dates on the US 1975 tour and the only other one he wore it for on the 1977 tour was Landover 5-26.
Sue Dounim
Yeah, I remember seeing some '75 era photos of him wearing it, but I can't remember for the life of me what show(s) it(they) was(were).
badgeholder
Great pics - as usual - thanks again, DavidZoso. What audio is being used in that video? It sure synchs up well! Landover?
DavidZoso
Yeah, I remember seeing some '75 era photos of him wearing it, but I can't remember for the life of me what show(s) it(they) was(were). Robert wore the silver blouse at the New York 2-3-75, Nassau 2-4-75, Montreal 2-6-75, Philadelphia 2-8-75, Nassau 2-13-75 possibly Nassau 2-14-75 and Long Beach 3-12-75. Sue Dounim
Actually, I'm fairly certain that the audio for the footage on YouTube is from 5/26/77. The bassline sounds identical.
And You Know How It Is?
The Battle of Evermore Where's Bonzo??? He mostly sat up front with the rest of the band for Battle of Evermore on the '77 shows.
