the body electric
I searched the archives for any records of any threads related to this and could not find any. It is a NBC News piece about music on their national broadcast in 1973 and contains video from inside Zeppelin's plane. I have seen snippets of the footage inside the plane before, but just part of it, never in its entirety. I love the video from inside the starship. I've always heard of drinking and English pub songs with Jones on the organ on the plane but never thought I would see footage of it. Apologies if this has been posted before. http://s169.photobuc...=ZEPNBCTV73.mp4 In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. SuperDave
I think this was posted here a couple of years ago. So I'm sure it's pretty far back in this section by now. Thanks for posting. Always good to see this footage.
Texas Melanie
I think the news journalist was jealous. Who wouldn't want to be a wealthy rock star, riding in a private plane and living a lavish lifestyle. The video footage of Jimmy and Bonzo dancing was priceless. Who wouldn't want to be a wealthy rock star, riding in a private plane and living a lavish lifestyle. The video footage of Jimmy and Bonzo dancing was priceless. I think they are too. That's my favorite part.I have it on DVD. I can't watch it now without thinking of Noel Coward. I have CD of him singing "I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside," which is the song they are singing. It's so fitting. Thanks for putting it here.
Otto Masson
The NBC news story was posted on Youtube a few years ago, and it is absolutely hilarious to watch. The sound, however, was removed from it at some point, for some copyright reasons, if I remember correctly. I have it on my hard drive and watch it sometimes when I want to have a good laugh. The band must have known it was going to be a conformist kind of story about the decadence of rock stars, etc. as they really play the part .... SweetLittleBaby
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eA4fxQcQTs Thanks for posting that, Taro. All I was getting on the other was audio. I had never seen that particular clip, but seeing Jimmy and Bonzo dancing made my day.
