feather in the wind Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 for what purpose? neither is captivating really. Quote
paul carruthers Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Kashmir, right? I have to go with Knebworth. Quote
Sue Dounim Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Danelectro with White Summer as the prelude all the way. Quote
feather in the wind Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 okay, got it now, didn't know what the gist was. Quote
Strider Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Yeah, you gotta be clearer with your questions Taro. So if the choice is between Knebworth "Kashmir" or O2 "Kashmir", then I am taking the O2. But I wouldn't take the O2 above the best LA Forum "Kashmirs". But I would put the O2 "Kashmir in my Top 5. Quote
zepscoda Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 O2 all the way.....I love the White Summer intro, but the O2 blew my mind. For me, its the ascending bass riff at the ending that Jimmy played using an octave pedal, along with JPJ at the O2....typically thats where Jimmy would fill a few solo licks in. Quote
Sue Dounim Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Wait, is this a question of performance or simply preference of guitar? If performance, than the O2, if guitar, then the Danelectro. Quote
Dallas Knebs Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 say it ain't so Sue ... then the Danelectro. Quote
Sue Dounim Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 say it ain't so Sue U no liek the danelectro? That's a badass guitar, plus White Summer is a perfect prelude to Kashmir. Quote
Dallas Knebs Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Sue you make me blue Dano is badass, White Summer is killer the Les Paul has so much more depth and grit, love the ice pick of the Dano.... my choice is the Les Paul tho... almost make me pee on the first 3 notes of Kashmir in the theatre the other evening Quote
