aen27
I can't wait to whatever it will be! He said it will be audio and visual. In the Mojo interview he says he has to check with the others about the special things he wants to add.
tictac
Which is why I said there are at least three. Seattle 77, Earls Court 24th and 25th. I did forget about Knebworth, and RAH has more or less been released completely. So then I guess there are at least five complete, professionally shot, recordings that haven't been completely released yet that are in reasonable release quality. Here ya go, List of all shows played and recorded: http://www.royal-orl...php?f=21&t=6084 (shows that were recorded say -a- or -s- at the end of each line) List of all circulating video: http://www.royal-orl...hp?f=21&t=20944 All with -a- were officialy recorded by Led Zeppelin? Geezer
All with -a- were officialy recorded by Led Zeppelin? -a- = audience recording -s- = soundboard recording, meaning that the gig was recorded by the band.

zooma
And it makes me wonder... Why imply it was Robert? Could be none of them are opposed, or both Jones and Bonham's family don't want it and Robert and Jimmy are pushing for it.
ZEPFAN17
Looking foward to the release date...

ksgemini
I am sure its just subject to their final approval and scrutiny...better that than a situation where a bass or vocal mistake gets released...I am sure this will work out altho Best Buy is taking down Home Audio section here New computers will no longer have cd rom(Apple has already started this) drives so I wont be able to listen unless they are downloadable...car and comp are only places I have time for listening and new car I am getting just has plug for ipod...no cd ....If I were Page I wouldnt put a lot of time into artwork of a dying format
Dallas Knebs
its such an ambitious and enormous undertaking that to put it all out on the table for a vote in a final-ish form is a distance from where the concept/project is at present.
tictac
Although in the future allmost all music will be in digital form, physical has life: "There were 228 million physical album sales in 2011".
Geezer
There has never been confirmation for the first three Earls Court nights. The third Earls Court night (23 May) was definitely proshot. Proof: JPJ wore a white outfit only on the third show.
Dallas Knebs
not sure why 3rd night hasn't been a priority for release...
tictac
Here ya go, List of all shows played and recorded: http://www.royal-orl...php?f=21&t=6084 (shows that were recorded say -a- or -s- at the end of each line) List of all circulating video: http://www.royal-orl...hp?f=21&t=20944 I converted the concert list to an excel sheet. I think is more usable. Here it is. If somebody can add information or have a way to improve it, leate me know.

Sticks of Fire
A smart move would be to NOT include the album CODA in this project. 1.) Dump the fake Royal Albert Hall tracks. We're Gonna Groove and I Can't Quit You. They seem kind of silly now that the show was officially released. 2.) The fake vocals on Walter's Walk; take off the vocals and just keep it as it was originally recorded; an instrumental. Then put it back where it belongs on the "extras" CD that goes with the HOTH release. 3.) Put each of the remaining tracks on each "extras" CD release that goes with the proper album: Poor Tom, Led Zep III Wearin and Tearin, Ozone Babe, Darlene with ITTOD I suppose Bonzon's M would fit with ITTOD nicely too Edited December 24, 2012 by Sticks of Fire
ksgemini
Those are all good ideas but I'd hate to see the Lucas syndrome set in where originals are vastly altered and the original configurations are a memory
One Symbol
not sure why 3rd night hasn't been a priority for release... Third night of Earl's Court? Simples. The kick drum wasn't recorded, that's why.

One Symbol
Source? Pretty sure it may have been Kevin Shirley himself at some point, but I don't have to time to look for it today. I'll have a look & post back later.
One Symbol
Yeah, here you go. This particular article doesn't mention the kick drum specifically (I must have seen it elsewhere), but Kevin Shirley explains that the third night was unusable. I'd recommend reading the whole thing actully, it's quite an interesting article. You'll need to scroll right down to read the bits about Led Zeppelin DVD: http://www.cavemanpr...ageplantiv.html Edited December 26, 2012 by One Symbol
Geezer
Thanks for the link. I hope it was only audio that was incorrectly recorded. I really want to see the video. Edited December 26, 2012 by Geezer
