I have had one of the greatest weeks! I went on my first date with my new boyfriend a week ago today and we became official on Monday. We met on a Christian dating site and we live about an hour and a half apart. We will have been talking six weeks as of this coming Sunday. In addition to this, yesterday I got a notice in the mail that said I was going to receive a special honors recognition at Athens State University Spring Commencement. I graduated in January so this came as a surprise to me. I called to get more information today and it turns out the award is for the top student of the year in my major. ^_^

Spent yesterday at King's Dominion in Richmond for a dance competition. Beautiful spring day; the girls did a fantastic job and it was sunny and not too hot. Rode some roller coasters and I am still slightly feeling it today. No more metal coasters for me ...

Holy crap, that's a nice change.

Also, heading down the road to the Home of the Wheat Kings to visit 3 of the 4 sisters for birthday celebrations!

Have our entire collection of Zep and The Hip on my music-ma-jiggy player and plan to blow out the speakers in the Kia on the way there!

Meet you at the half-way tree for a smoke! cool.gif

My dad's cancer is in remission. Tests and a biopsy of the tumor showed that it was dead. The radiation and chemo worked and the most he might have done is have a stint put in his esophogas as it took a beating with the illness and the treatments. But all is well for now.

Thanks everyone. It was great news.

He scared me though when we first started talking about how he was. He asked if I wanted the bad news or the good news first.

Ok, give me the bad news. Well, the bad news is he is going to live! Always the jokester! :D Glad that is still intact considering what he went through.
