kirchzep27 Posted May 14, 2008 Share Posted May 14, 2008 ^congrats on the biscuits. i did not get called for jury duty tomorrow, gotta still call though, for two weeks. i've actually heard of folks having some good times serving jury duty, meeting cool people and making friends. i was called one other time and it was boring beyond belief and nobody wanted to be there. if i do get called in for jury duty, with the phone system they have...i'll atleast get to use the phrase "this is tomorrow". that'll be kinda cool...not really. I work for a company that is in the telecommunications industry. When I started here in October 2001, telecommunication stocks had just taken a couple of years of poor performance. Early on, I was given 300 shares of options, not a lot, but the strike price was low due to the state of the market at the time. Immediately, I started contributing to my 401K earning a nice company match which was totally in company stock. The stock remained flat for 4 years. I work for a subsidiary that was eventually spun off and sold. Very complicated. The last 1-2 years the stock is finally performing and rumours say our former parent will be sold, which is partially fueling the rebound. Not to mention that I finished my final semester of course work--all I need to do now is do my full-time internship and I'm a college graduate!!! Mine is a little baby bush, but I am excited that it will grow to be great. Honeysuckle google image search results I have a yellow one.
