Sounded like the guitarist was warming up with a riff from Black Mountain Side before Kashmir? Cant remember off the top of my head but I thought Black Mountain Side was in open G? Kashmir of course is DADGAD. For those that only use standard tuning (EADGBE). Open G or drop D being DGDGBD. Has this vocalist done any Rush?

Black Mountain Side is in DADGAD tuning. In the 1977, 1979, and 1980 tours, White Summer/Black Mountain Side segued into Kashmir; so I think that's why the guitarist played it.

indeed. BMS is in dadgad and Zep did use it as n intro to kashmir a few times.

It's great. you lure the audience in with something 'acoustic', something fragile. almost pastoral and then suddenly hit them over the head with that heavy kashmir groove. The effect is awesome.

that's a shame. I think he's doing a good job, taking in account that he has ample range but not so much the same timbre to sing Plant tunes.

Maybe some pointers? what don't you like about it?

:-) No worries! Truckin' on, we shall!

There is no accounting for taste, but we are hot band who actually make music in the style of the old boys with these tunes instead of simply being a jukebox.

Still i'm always on the lookout for good criticism. Simply trying to get better, if possible.

just his timbre, sounds kind of thin compared to plant.

right. Thanks

there is no amount of training or experience that can change the timbre of ones voice.

we'll have to make do :-)

I really love him as singer. He's got the freedom and improvisational skills that 99% of "the impersonators clan" miss.

their voices might be more Plantish but they are, with all due respect, like walking jukeboxes instead of musicians.

In the video you can see a ton of people enjoying you guys. That`s all that matters. Keep on truckin!

You need to hire some more camera people.

Close-Ups, Low Angle, Overhead, From The Side, Behind w/Backlight, and some grainy Black & White would look good too :^)

we have had some pro video's done ...about a year ago almost now.

they work great on our website and for booking agents....

the snag is....WE think that we've grown considerably as a band in the last year.

anyway... enjoy:
