Led Zeppelin Fan Documentary

Waste of time. Led Zeppelin disbanded more than 30 years ago so:

1. Anyone under the age of 45 has nothing first-hand to contribute.

2. Anyone over the age of 45 won't remember too many specifics.

3. Aside from exceptionally unique personal experiences nobody really wants to hear a succession of fans anyway. I know I would be pressing the eject button two seconds after the first "OMG, they were so..."

People over the age of 45 won't remember specifics? That is interesting. I was on the young side and not doing anything too mind altering back then, but I don't know anyone who went to concerts completely straight. Given that, some facts are sure to be a bit hazy.

I don't mean to be a kill joy but for the project suggested here surely you'll want archival footage, good quality audio for voice overs, etc. That all costs money. Even the cheapest indie doc begins at $250,000 with producers, shooters and other key creative deferring wages. It has to be directed, scripted, edited, pulled through post production, etc. HD cams are not cheap, nor is tapestock, good audio and lighting equipment, etc. Sorry, just being realistic based on stuff I've worked on.

Hardly, tbh. An amateur film like this, just simply one person doing a main voice over over pictures and footage that is readily available for cheap. Although I could see the fact that you'd have to spend a ton of money on a video editing software, but there are cheaper alternative ones out there compared to Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas. So all in all, $250,000 for something in my mind? Hell no lol. I'm not thinking that ambitious. Just basically someone writing a script (Which I have a bit of talent in, mainly writing), doing a voice over with a pretty good microphone (about $100-$200 what I'm looking at), and just some folks who want to freely help out with the script and share their experiences, read up on stories, etc. We are honestly probably thinking in different ways, you're thinking of big movie professional, I'm talking amateur. Pulling it off like I think, possible? Surely. But it would require a bit of time and effort.

exactly Joe! You've got it....... But shit, if you're older that 45, Steve says you, and everyone else over 45 probably won't remember the experience (That is probably the most f-ed up sentence from a non-troll I have ever read around here lol...goofy!)...........anyway, all I was trying to add earlier, is that seeing someone talk about an experience (possibly in a DVD Documentary format) can add to simply just reading the same story in a text-format like this forum......

You possibly have three unique stories to tell based on your experiences. I would for sure read them but seeing them spoken, along with others might be pretty cool........cheers

Ok, go ahead Steve, what ya got next, a Selena Gomez video? lol.....

Thanks fishead, the one thing that sticks in my mind from the 1971 concert (which I have told before) was that it was at a boxing/wrestling stadium, for the concert they removed the ring and put the stage against the back wall. This created a large space in front of the seated audience. When LZ came on stage a load of fans rushed the stage, blocking the view of the band. To everyones amazement the band stopped playing and sat on the floor until they all returned to their seats. I was 16 and I will never ever forget it, just to see that they cared about their fans. AMAZING!!!! It was also my first concert

now there is just one anecdote from your storie(s) and it is interesting to hear......that would be cool if it could be shared for all to know in a more formal format instead of this "little rectangel"...cheers Joe......Rich

Don't shit on people just because you don't like the idea, yo.

...just ignore him.....there's always one fly in the ointment......he can't, not have the last word around here....and he's not listening to the same band as you and I....

I think you had/have a great idea.....and so do some others here too TLS.
