Here's an article about the car accident RJD was in in 1968. It happened in Sandisfield Massachusetts, which is just north of the Connecticut border and about halfway between NYC and Boston. One of the people in his band at the time died and Ronnie ended up with a severe cut on his head. Here's an article about the accident, which lists Ronnie by his original name, Ronald Padavona. (Thanks to my buddy Mike for the info.)
