henrybonzo
dont sell it, what ever you get for it wont even come close to its spiritual value
fishhead
If you need the cash badly, then I get it, but I am with Henry B, don;t sell it. I have a Robert Plant autograph (profile pic) and it is staying in the family.....
Dallas Knebs
don't know why anyone would sell that especially if it has family history buyers who pay what things are worth require proof that the item is what the seller says it is so be prepared to offer this if you have not already done so. A written statement of what happened, when, where is usually not enough... that is heresay in the eyes of a buyer and is not proof. too many people have scammed buyers on items such as yours so nothing personal- just back up what you claim. If you cannot, you may have to moderate your expectations for $ value. It may only be worth what a ~40 year old aging, oxidizing photo is worth- and that is less and less every year. personally I would not buy it at any price, nor would I accept it if it was free- but that's just me. jayjayjordan
to be honest, it was given to me over 20 years ago and I had no idea who it was at the time, (im a bit young is all) so I have no idea of its value really but from reading here and there it seems it may be a rare item and something that could mean a great deal to a devout fan, hence why I thought I may sell? Melcórë
Any details on how/when it was receieved, exactly? The signature does seem to match that in the following pic - no clue if it's genuine either, though: And also to the other examples on this page. Maybe SteveAJones would be able to tell - the people the website directs to for authentication purposes are themselves.
jayjayjordan
My ex father in law was a radio/tv engineer in the 60/70's and was called to Johns house to do a repair,(john is from Redditch, where I still live) and he asked him for his autograph while he was there and this is it. but obviously I realise that that is only known to me to and to anyone else it could be made up story so I am looking to get it authenticated before I look to sell as i realise it will not be worth selling without. Michael/Hellbar
Hi there - I have a few signatures that are 100% genuine from the band (one signed album being shown in the 'timeline' here on the website, look for Newcastle City Hall in Feb 1970) and from my experience I would say that this signature is genuine and dated late 70's. LED ZEP signed very few signatures in the early days but individuals within the band (especially Bonham that gave away lots of signed items to local charity) later in the career. I would be intersted in buying this one if you are willing to sell. My offer to you is based on my own experience and not reflected by any prices that Ebay might provide (most of them are fakes anyway). Please PM me. dalsh327
Hope you find a good place to get it authenticated. Signed memorabilia can be tricky because of all the Ebay frauds. You have a story to go along with it, maybe your dad had an old receipt or check he also signed? Hard Rock also buys memorabilia, so do some museums. rm2551
Wow, was just on ebay looking at Led Zeppelin items and sorted by most expensive. I dream of a Gaming room fully decked out in tribute to Zeppelin one day (When I win the damn Lottery!). In reality, it does look like a minefield with items that are expensive and possibly fraudulent.
SteveAJones
Maybe SteveAJones would be able to tell - the people the website directs to for authentication purposes are themselves. I must have missed this when posted. In my opinion the John Bonham autograph JayJayJordan posted is authentic. However, the heavy creasing to the photo has significantly lowered it's potential market value.
