Just in case you did not know yet, I am writing a book about the gear that Led Zeppelin's members used in LZ and also in their solo careers.

I have also put up a website at http://www.ledzepgearbook.com/. It has an email sign up for news and info (release date, where to sign up, etc).

The Beatles, Rolling Stones and other bands have gear books, why shouldn't the almighty Led Zeppelin?

Good luck with it! I can't imagine how much research must be done to write such a history. I'll definitely sign up for your updates.

2 heads daisy chained: Marshall 50 fronting and driving a SAP head into the cabs, controlled in/out by a footswitch. I have seen pictures with an Arbiter 100 on the floor behind the cabs. No idea if it was plugged in or on hand as a spare. From memory, all I recall seeing on the floor is a wah.

Awesome. So you could tell me what Jimmy used on the BBC sessions? Especially on, "the girl I love" That tone is sick. Tonebender?

Day 1 purchase for me. What's the tentative release date?

Xmas 2013.

It's mid-1969. There had to have been a Tonebender III in use.

Hi – your Zep gear book is a great idea!

I was fortunate enough to have had contact with them a few times in the 1970s when I was working in a London guitar shop and they were rehearsing at Manticore, and I ended up buying all 3 of JPJs Acoustic bass stacks (Sadly the only thing I still have is the amps flight case)

We sold / gave them various bits and pieces and I’d be happy to tell you what I remember if you want to contact me by private email.

Can't wait for this book!!!

Shatners Bassoon- that is amazing! I would love to get my hands on Zeppelin gear....actually I would probably be afraid to touch it!
