Charles J. White Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) This particular song is on top of my list, the drums on this song are so powerful and very mesmerizing. When the lights are dim and it’s late night, these drums drive me mad! Edited February 23, 2013 by Charles J. White Quote

Charles J. White Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 driving rhythm with subtle time changes Quote
Charles J. White Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 This is another one which I like, but there is something about the drumming in the start that I can't put my finger on. The beginning seems so powerful, but I swear I can hear more then one kit in it! It has this marching haunting thing that seems odd for some reason in a cool way. The E-Bow fits in with the drums perfectly. Quote
Charles J. White Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) The Cymbals with this one are solid gold; the drums drive the song along in a really cool way, great song that unfortunately has been forgotten. Thank you The Turning Point used record store in downtown Ottawa. When I heard this band as a kid I was hooked. I listen to them also as much as I do The Tea Party. Nutrocker Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Just about any Rush tune. Yep...pretty much! People knock Neil Peart for not having much soul, but so what? Dude's a fuckin' technical drumming genius. Young Man Blues After Bonham, Moonie's my favourite...Keith Moon tended to play the drums with all the grace of a drunk falling down a flight of stairs (and I mean that in a good way) but every crazy fill he played worked. Speaking of crazy fills: This has always been one of my favourites, simply for the infamous "Swarm of bees" fill, courtesy of "Fill" Collins: Quote
