2. Visit Australia and New Zealand

3. Spend a few months in Europe for fun and not work

3. A month long African Safari

4. Continue to fight for and see laws enforced that make animal cruelty to have serious punishment

5. Pay my house off

6. Learn to play the guitar much better than I do currently

7. Spend time in Ireland where my Mom's family is from

8. Stop working full time at 60

9. Own a couple of horses

10. Last but not least live long enough to see a peaceful world

I see some of yours would be mine also. The owning of horses, if for racing is a tough game and those that are going to usually come out ahead are those that are well established in the business. Its tough for newbies to come in and make money. I have a friend who did own some with his late father and they did win back in the 70s. Much has changed in the business. Probably looking at a minimum of ten to fifteen grand just to get started with a claimer. Its too risky. If something happens and the horse gets injured you are in the hole for good. But I too would have loved to own one or two. Have a few local connections that run at Fingef Lakes. But if they are successful they go to Saratoga or Belmont. And its tough to win there

I have four items left on my bucket list:

a) travel overland or, possibly, take a cruise from Seattle up to Vancouver and then on to Anchorage and other Alaskan cities

B) visit Kenya and Tanzania in East Africa

c) raft the Bio-Bio River in Chile

d) play golf at St. Andrews

I wrote a children's book and want to get it published. Trying to raise funds for that.

I think there is a website that helps people with that. You should check it out.

Yes exactly! On a raft and wearing cut-offs like Mary Anne from Gilligan's Island.

I used to dream about rafting the length of the Mississippi as well. One important factor which dissuaded me from the idea was learning just how much commercial shipping takes place on the Mississippi these days.

The Mississippi is a great artery of the US, always has been. People rarely keep nature nice and serene. Very sad still I think it would be an experience!

I also want to ride trains cross country! I like trains.

Go for it!! (cruising the Mississippi and the trains.) You'd be a braver man (woman?) than me.

Of course I'd need a man to be by my side to keep me warm on those cold nights and to protect me from those guys from Deliverance.

Lol. I'd protect you (or simply hang-out with you) on those cold nights, lipslikecherries.
