wow

agree and surprised at this.... especially after reading that Plant apparently said to Jason to go out eventually and do something for himself apart form his Zep lineage.....oh well, no harm no foul, but it has to get boring after a while doesn't it?

IMO I dont think Jason is milking this at all, in fact I think he's giving a lot of people what they want to hear, Led Zeppelin (or a close version of it) live. And if this wasnt popular there would not be a demand for it, which there is, so its going to continue. In addition, Jason recently said the band is working on or at least kicking around ideas for all new material to eventually add to the set list.

Personally I think its great and I hope they do produce a new album and continue in the spirit of Zeppelin. Many people still want to hear it and my hats off to Jason for keeping the spirit alive!

I was excited to hear about this double-bill as it seems to be a good fit. Nothing against JBLZE - they've gotten great reviews, and I agree with the person who said that there is still a demand for it - so why not?

I'm more concerned about Heart. I seem them turning into a LZ cover band basically which is a bit depressing. They have SO many great songs of their own, and ever since the Kennedy Center Honors it just seems THEY seem to be milking the LZ thing for more than it should be. I'm such a huge fan of theirs, so I hope the public still views them as HEART, and not LZ Cover Band Heart.

Mind you, I'm still planning a nice lil' Los Angeles trip in August to coincide with the 2 shows, since it doesn't look like there will be a Toronto show at this point. JBLZE was just here last month, and Heart is here this week (can't wait!).

Would love to see Jason and LZ Experience in person. Not scheduled for Birmingham.

So, his tour ends at the close of August.

Maybe nothing else JBLZE is planned, and all is wide open for 2014.

Jason and Plant might consider tag teaming those confounded Capricorns....

I remember reading that they'll be doing a Led Zeppelin encore, should be interesting to see, and hear. It's a great idea them touring together, building on the momentum provided by the Kennedy Center ceremony.

According to some of the online news sites, they'll be doing a 30 minute set together at the end.

In this interview, Simon Townshend discusses opening for Heart in Canada and also comments on the Kennedy Center's Stairway to Heaven.

It's good timing to be opening for Heart. The band received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last Sept., will be inducted into the 2013 Rock And Roll Hall of Fame April 18 and played an exceptional version of "Stairway to Heaven" to honor Led Zeppelin at the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors that has accumulated more than 4.6 million views on YouTube.

"I watched a bit online, but I didn't see the whole thing. But I heard all about it. Very successful, wasn't it?" says Townshend. "We were talking to the tour manager and pretty much all of the shows are sold out. I'm really pleased."

Yet again a lack of dates in the UK and Europe.

Well I'd like to see JBs LZ Experience. But I would'nt go and see Heart even if I was given a ticket, just don't like them. I'm not knocking them, they just don't do it for me. Too poppy.

Me neither, a bit like in the 70's when Journey toured with Pat Travers. Pat was of course fantastic and the Guiness in the pub by the apollo was great, as Journey played their set

I agree. When I saw JBLZE last fall, Jason told the audience that "as long as people want to listen to this music, I'll be playing it".

Has anyone besides me had a bad experience at a Heart concert? I saw them in '82 and I thought they were terrible live. I guess I find it a bit hard to believe they have improved 30 years later, although I guess anything is possible. In truth I only liked their first 2-3 albums, and I think they changed several members after that...

There should be plenty of concert You Tube Heart videos to give you an idea of how they've performed since 1982......

When Heart came through with their Dog & Butterfly tour, they opend with a slow building song, which was a mistake imo.

You open with a Rocker. How un-Led Zeppelin-like of them !!!!!

I hope to go to the show in Dallas Aug. 15th....
