Slidin' Thru
I've always felt a sadness, as I'm sure we all have, when I think about the Led Zeppelin story...how it all ended and how there was always something hanging there in the years that followed, something that was left incomplete. Now, the feeling I have after listening to most of the 02 gig and seeing some of it on the net, tells me that that circle has finally been closed, that there are no longer any missing links. They came together, with Jason, and kicked ass for Bonzo and for Led Zeppelin. This really was the missing chapter for me. Nothing had done it before, not Page and Plant (althogh that was damn nice!), not the other reunions. It had to be THESE FOUR GUYS, and it was. For one magical night. I sincerely hope they tour and offer us many more magical nights, but if they don't, I'll still be happy, because an exclamation mark has now been put on the Zeppelin story. That sadness will always be there to some extent, but this has assuaged it considerably. I've just been elated all week because of this concert, in a way I wasn't expecting. I hope everyone else is feeling it too.

Jonesy
That show feels a lot more like zeppelin than anything I've ever experienced (P+P, Page and crowes...)

Not that it was their intention, but they just made a case for the virtues of a reunion when so many other bands seem to just capitolize on the greedy concept... and, some repeatedly so just to rake in more cash to heap on their pile. I hate to say it, but if this is the last gig, it may be more fitting than anything else they could have done. The right time, the right venue, the right reasons... and they played their 60 year old hearts out to adulation of one and all who viewed them the closest to gods on this earth to begin with... emerging not only unscathed, but even more revered. Check out these youtubes for the best amateur stuff I have seen from the O2 yet. You can actually crank these up without hurting your teeth. http://www.youtube.com/warbie
