Thanks for posting this reids.  I always wondered who delivered that incredible intro and was always too lazy to look it up. Truly a part of R&R history without ever stepping on a stage!

You’re welcome.
He had a larger the life voice. R.I.P. JR.

In the old days he helped raise and lower Peter Criss’ drum set (several on each side with chains / rope) to work as a lever for the riser effect.  I heard that Peter actually fell off riser a few times due to not being “balanced”. 😁

Simple but highly emotional lyrics. RIP Vera.

Fun Fact: That song was played at the end of Peter Grant's memorial service.

NOOOOOO!!!!

Carl Reiner, the writer, producer, director and actor who was part of Sid Caesar’s legendary team and went on to create “The Dick Van Dyke Show” and direct several hit films, has died. He was 98.

He died of natural causes on Monday night at his home in Beverly Hills, his assistant Judy Nagy confirmed to Variety.

Damn. What a one-two punch to the gut this has been. First Johnny Mandel.

Then, Carl Reiner...a titan of comedy and a true mensch.

Godspeed and rest in peace, gentlemen.
