Charles J. White
Here is mine taken from The Beatles, Beatles For Sale 1964: “When, in a generation or so, a radio-active, cigar smoking child, picnicking on Saturn, asks you what the Beatle affair was all about” I remember reading that as a kid thinking, wow are we in for a cool future... What are some of your favourite linear notes?
Strider
It is liner notes, not linear. My favourites are those early Bob Dylan albums and those fantastically loopy Andrew Loog Oldham-penned notes on the London/Decca Rolling Stones albums in the 1960s. Great reading those while listening to the wax.

slave to zep
Credit must be given to BRON-Y-AUR a small derelict cottage in South Snowdonia for painting a somewhat forgotten picture of true completness which acted as an incentive to some of these musical statements - August, 1970. redirtuo
"This song put me in the middle of the road. Travelling there soon became a bore so I headed for the ditch. A rougher ride but I saw more interesting people there." -Neil Young Decade, talking about Heart of Gold
