Strider
Sad news, Fire Opal. Strange...I always thought she was younger than me. Still, 53 is way too young to die. Rest in peace, Christina.
Ross62
Chrissy was a true rocker and I think it'll be a long time before a woman as sassy and menacing as her appears on a stage again. Not to mention that voice, the costumes and the early video clips that were groundbreaking. Christina Amphlett 1959-2013.
Whoopie Cat
Very sad news to hear about the passing of Chrissy Amphlett. An Aussie rock legend who will be greatly missed. Most people remember her as being the lead singer of the Divinyls, but the lady was so talented and her voice so versatile, that for 2 years she starred as Judy Garland, along with Todd McKenney in the Australian production of The Boy From Oz (the stage production of Peter Allen). A rock angel, now with wings.

Whoopie Cat
Chrissy Amphlett's dying wish, was for her single 'I Touch Myself' to be used to promote breast cancer awareness.http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/newshome/1 ... ch-myself/
FireOpal
That was what really made her stand out - the dangerous quality, the way she would take over the stage. Chrissy was a true rocker and I think it'll be a long time before a woman as sassy and menacing as her appears on a stage again. Not to mention that voice, the costumes and the early video clips that were groundbreaking.
