But thanks, all the same. I'll raise a pint or two with you, though.
Sagittarius Rising
i can only say what I saw was people being mean to carrie fisher. she is very talented and has a wonderful soul.i dont like to argue either i just call them like i see them I sure hope we don't have a, "...LEAVE BRITTANY ALONE!!!" moment, though if you choose to go this route you must post a complete YouTube video of your rant. kingzoso
Trivia question related to Carrie Fisher (and Star Wars): Why is that Princess Leia does not wear a bra when she is first seen and eventually captured by the StormTroopers at the very beginning of a "New Hope?" Strider
Trivia question related to Carrie Fisher (and Star Wars): Why is that Princess Leia does not wear a bra when she is first seen and eventually captured by the StormTroopers at the very beginning of a "New Hope?" Because they caught her in the middle of her bath? I have no idea...never even thought about it.
kingzoso
Because they caught her in the middle of her bath? I have no idea...never even thought about it. The actual answer is because George Lucas told Carrie Fisher when they were filming that there were no such thing as bras in the galaxy (or universe) that he was intending (or creating, if you will). I saw this and remember this in a two hour documentary based on the "Star Wars" movies that was on the History channel. It comes on every so often and I have seen this program at least two times before. It is a complete and and philosophical take on the whole "Star Wars" saga. I am sure others have seen this too. I usually set the dvr to record this whenever I see that is coming on even though (like I said) I have seen it before. Even if you are not a big fan of the movies, it is very compelling stuff to watch and see how different people break down the different aspects of the series. From the Spiritual to the Lore to the Mythical to the Good versus Evil etc.. It even goes as far as saying the Darth Vader and his helmet came from George Lucas' fondness for Ninjas and Japanese Samurais. By the way, the origin of the name name, Darth Vader, comes from Lucas' own version of originally calling Darth Vader, "Dark Father". Does any recall or remember this? Disco Duck
Carrie Fisher's bank balance/pension top-up fund. Shrug. There isn't much work for middle-aged, female actresses in Hollywood. Fisher has to earn a living and put away enough money for her retirement just like the rest of us. I don't plan on seeing the film but I don't begrudge her taking the role. I am no real Star War or Lucas buff but I recall the helmet is based on his disdain for Nazi's. Their is no denying the similarity. But the argument could be made for either. Melcórë
Then when Return came out I just about shit my pants when I saw the Ewoks, I thought, who the hell let Jim Henson in this thing? WTF happened? If you have no love for Henson in your heart, you're a lost cause. His studio also worked on Yoda... The actual answer is because George Lucas told Carrie Fisher when they were filming that there were no such thing as bras in the galaxy (or universe) that he was intending (or creating, if you will). [...] By the way, the origin of the name name, Darth Vader, comes from Lucas' own version of originally calling Darth Vader, "Dark Father". Does any recall or remember this? First true -- they taped her nipples up! The second is wrong -- Lucas had not developed the plot to the point where Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker when the first film was released. It's an old rumour based on the similarity between Vader and the words for "father" in German and Dutch.
