tomloge Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Saw Travers live once. Great show. He only played for 25 minutes, but there were 4 bands on the bill and he was the opener. Incredible amount of energy in his set. Quote
chillumpuffer Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Saw Pat quite a few times. Pat Thrall is/was also a shit hot picker Quote
TypeO Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I love Heat In The Street! Saw him live in 2000 with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Quote
Flyingzepp Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Amazing guitarist. He does WLL on a Zep tribute album. Quote
tomloge Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I think he covered "How Many More Times" on PT-Power Trio 2 and did a great job on that one. Quote
tomloge Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I'll be seeing him live in a few weeks. He's opening up for Molly Hatchet. Looking forward to both bands. Quote
luvlz2 Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Been listening to a lot of Pat Travers lately. Quote
tomloge Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I saw Travers live last Friday, 6/13. He opened for Molly Hatchet and basically blew them off the stage. If I can remember the songs he did: Rock & Roll Susie Black Betty a cover of an old Ray Charles song-slow, heavy blues Red House (slide guitar) Snortin' Whisky Boom Boom Can Do Diamond Girl Crash & Burn There's probably a few more that I left out. But the man still has it! On guitar, and on vocals! Quote
luvlz2 Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Glad you enjoyed it tomloge! The person who posted this video said the same thing about Pat Travers being much better. Quote

The Pagemeister Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 PAT TRAVERS New Album The album is called simply "Swing!" and it features full band rock arrangements of Louis Prima's "Sing Sing Sing", Duke Elington's "Take The 'A' Train", Glenn Miller's "In The Mood" and many more. The result is an incredible listening experience of familiar tunes played like you've never heard them before. Quote
Stryder1978 Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 Great info! I first saw Pat Travers when they opened up for Foghat in Sioux City, Iowa back in 1979. My first time seeing Tommy Aldridge drum as well..what a beast! Quote
