what does manifesto mean?

Not really, other than by gross rationalization.

CEOs and workers alike all agree to their employment / positions.

And many evil corporations do spread the wealth around - to those who help earn it.

My wife works for Delta and gets profit-sharing and bonuses.

But the idea of taking more from someone who is wealthy to give to those who aren't is anathema to the majority of working, employed Americans.

Those who are more comfortable sitting back to see how far the free ride goes, not so much.

In a perfect, ethical world you would be correct, unfortunately that is not the case otherwise unions would never have been formed. You think those guys formed unions because they had nothing else to do with their excess time after a 14 hour, seven day workweek?

Saggy,

The problem with that philosophy is that the workers and the CEO enetered into a contract that can be rectified at anytime in a free society. Now I know you can keep more than one thought in your mind. So you are thinking the workers have no other options but in reality they do. The CEo can chose not to hire anyone and the worker can decide to not produce. The result would not be beneficial for either.

This model of spreading the wealth however involves a third party that is not dependent on the symbiosis of the exec and labor. The buyer supports both management and labor because they benefit from production. The socialist model however taxes a third party that does not directly benefit them. If the the government and dependents of the states programs can not raise enough money they shake the pockets of so called wealthy.

Now, I know your head is not spinning cause you have that phd in theology. The social programs that the tax payer funds are not used in proportion to their taxed rates. The more a tax payer pays the less services they use. Let's consider education. Many well paid people, at least where I am from, send their children to private school. Now why would it benefit the tax payer to pay twice for this service. They make the decision that it is inferior product. Why is it inferior you say? Because there is no incentive for the public system to compete. Competition has been removed. Does it sound familiar ? Yeah it's called socialism. That was a failed experiment in Eastern Europe. You may remember that since you can store all that info in your swollen head.

Eventually the system will not be able to sustain itself once incentive and the excess wealth of the working class has been

Depleted to fund the growing rolls of dependency.

So your simple analogy does not work. Go ply your philosophical BS somewhere else.

Wow, that was particularly dickish. I have never insulted you much less replied to you before so I think your attitude is a bit out of line. Though like I pointed out to TypeO this is not a perfect world and corruption abounds, therefore regulation is a necessity. Unlike you, TypeO and I have a mutual respect, I may not always agree with him, but I respect him and learn from his intelligent posts often.

So you would gladly/willingly take for yourself what others have earned?

It depends on the circumstances. Would I break into someone's home and make off with their valuables? No. Would I sue someone for damages that I incurred as a result of their negligence? Yes.

Your self-sanctimony is insulting. Kipper raises a thought provoking thread but it seems that you are the only one that has the ability to dissect it. You lambast Anjin- sin claiming he can't hold more than one thought. Now you can't take a little ribbing.

Appears to me your lack of intelligent banter is rather disconcerting to your little ego. Not my problem you lack comprehension skills, guess you should have paid attention in school. BTW, I can take a little ribbing, but you are still being rather petty none the less.

Have a good night, but please do not watch cash cab or other trivia based programming as it may blow your mind.

You are correct! Trivia is far too complicated for my small mind or my fragile ego. I leave that programming to the geniuses. I'd rather watch an episode of Sesame street. I will put the federal dollars to good use, since I couldn't pay attention in school.

Have fun trying to keep up with Alex Trabek. That daily double can be a bitch when you have nothing to wager. I bet you know the feeling.

So true. Time for me to go to bed now since the public library is closing. Off to my old refrigerator box (home) next to the industrial waste plant with my trusty pint of Night Train. Night All!!!

Don't the CEOs and politicians do the same thing? Top CEOs and politicians fly on private jets, own large mansions vacation on expansive yachts, send their children to private schools and work much less hours than the average worker. I don't see them in the line that the average man has to wait in.

All I won't is my shitty public transportation, section 8 housing in a Run down rat infested neighborhood, a free ticket to an amusement park where I wait in line all day to get on a crappy water flume and my substandard education provided by unionized teachers hat don't give a shit.

Yeah the line looks pretty good to me. Where do I stand?

You're all over the place.

First you suggest a willingness to accept handouts.

Then you mock the standard of handouts.

So no response.

However, your descriptions provide an opportunity to illustrate a point.

Was the Section 8 Housing run-down and rat-infested when it was built?

Of course not.

But as people become accustomed to their free shit, they lose appreciation and gratitude and it's replaced with derision and expectation.

Motivation and drive becomes atrophied and the entitlement mentality is complete.

Such is the promise that Obama offers - it seems like Santa just came Christmas morning, but by New Year's Eve, half the toys are broken or lost, and the kids are as greedy and unappreciative as ever.

Soon, people will be bitching how their Obama phones don't get 4G data access or have a touch screen.
