truth and beauty
Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on times when Jimmy has worked with women ? * A while back, we had a thread proposing the likes of Heart, Tina Turner and others as future musical collaborators for Jimmy. But I'm not sure that rings true ... unlike JPJ and particularly Robert Plant, he doesn't seem to have set out to work with a woman. The one serious collaboration seems to have been with Jackie de Shannon. Otherwise, off the top of my head - Lulu et al in the session days, Maggie Bell, Najma Akhtar, Leona Lewis .. And his accountant Joan Hudson of course. Any others??? * Yes, OBVIOUSLY I mean other than in a personal/sexual sense!
Kathleen Mary Parker
Vashti Bunyan, Marianne Faithfull, Petula Clark, Nico, Shirley Bassey (off the top of my head for the moment... : ) ) -- all of these in sessions.

aen27
He collaborated with Ruth Brown? Wow. When was this? Sorry it was Ruby Turner. For the Alexis Korner Blues tribute show. It is the second On This Day he talks about this. I love her voice on the song so it made big a impression on me. Music featured from an Alexis Korner benefit in Nottingham. The musical clip comes from another Alexis Corner Blues Tribute night I had played one month earlier with Ian Stewarts 'Rocket 88' in Nottingham, with the wonderful Ruby Turner on vocal. PlanetPage
Has Page worked on any of Dana Gillespie's musical projects? .. Legendary Dana Gillespie sharing her spirtuality via Radio Interview; March 2011; Still in touch with our Idol Jimmy Page... excerpt: RS: Any names?DG: Well, David Bowie used to walk me home from school and carry my ballet shoes when I was 14. Jimmy Page is still an old friend who’s founded Led Zeppelin. He played, he produced a track on my first album as you said when I was 15. So, these guys were just normal guys. They then stuck to their music and became more famous. I left regular school at 15, and went to a theatre school, because I was working in the evenings, raising money to afford a drum kit and drum lessons in a record store. And in the mornings, between 5 and 6.30, I was delivering newspapers so I could get enough money to buy this drum kit.
