Yeah, really...what is the point of this thread? It's a silly question.

I had a dream. Crazy dream.

Anything I wanted to know, any place I needed to go

Hear my song. People won't you listen now? Sing along.

You don't know what you're missing now.

Any little song that you know

Everything that's small has to grow.

And it has to grow!

California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain

Honolulu Starbright - the song remains the same.

Sing out Hare Hare, dance the Hoochie Koo.

City lights are oh so bright, as we go sliding... sliding... sliding through.

From memory or were you looking at your Houses of the Holy album sleeve? ;)

I'm not a big fan of that song.

The varispeeded vocals on the studio track make Robert Plant sound like he was knocking back the ol' helium on the session  That's about my only issue with the song. Excellent opening track (not to mention tour set opener ;) )

FUN FACT: If lyrics were made of the TSRTS version of Dazed and Confused, 60% of the lyrics would consist of Mamamamamamamamamamamamaaaa

I posed that question in the SteveAJones mystery thread a few years back!

A couple of folks got in a heated discussion about it, if memory serves.

Don't forget to add, "Do it! Do it! Ah, PUSH! PUSH!"

That's your problem!

The Song Remains The Same, for the music and musicianship alone, is one of Led Zeppelin's finest moments.

You're fucking ludicrous.

What is "LUDICROUS" is the fact your not a fan of that song.

With a straight face, how can you honestly tell anyone you don't like The Song Remains The Same? The musicianship of Bonham, Jones, and Page is absolutely stunning, especially played live.

Brilliant song yes but you can't force it on people like that

I'm not a big fan of that song.

For what reasons? Lyrically? Musically? Production? Live versions or studio or both?

Lyrics? That's nothing even close to being interesting in those lyrics. Musically, it's quite good. I think I kind of exaggerated. It's a good song, but not one of my favorites.

So you're saying, "Sweet Calcutta rain," doesn't smack of pure genius?
