the chase Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 War Pigs Generals gathered in their masses Just like witches at black masses Evil minds that plot destruction Sorcerers of death's construction In the fields the bodies burning As the war machine keeps turning Death and hatred to mankind Poisoning their brainwashed minds Oh lord yeah! Politicians hide themselves away They only started the war Why should they go out to fight? They leave that role to the poor Time will tell on their power minds Making war just for fun Treating people just like pawns in chess Wait 'til their judgement day comes Yeah! Now in darkness world stops turning Ashes where the bodies burning No more war pigs have the power Hand of God has struck the hour Day of judgement, God is calling On their knees the war pig's crawling Begging mercy for their sins Satan laughing spreads his wings Oh lord yeah! AND ALL WE ARE SAYING IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE Quote

Mudslider Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 "Yellow Ledbetter" by Pearl Jam. This was an outtake from the band's debut album, Ten. "Yellow Ledbetter" was selected by the band to be the second B-side to the 1992 single for the song "Jeremy", which was where it first appeared. The song eventually found its way onto radio, peaking at number 21 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The song was included on the 2003 B-sides and rarities album, Lost Dogs, and on Pearl Jam's 2004 greatest hits album, Rearviewmirror (Greatest Hits 1991–2003). http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oGdSiqk89RdS4ANR5XNyoA;_ylc=X1MDMjc2NjY3OQRfcgMyBGJjawNiMm5udTVoOHN2NHBrJTI2YiUzRDMlMjZzJTNEMTMEY3NyY3B2aWQDX180SGRrb0dkRWV4WHY0c1VjLlROQWVuVEdpV01WSFBrNm9BREgzTgRmcgNmcmVlemUEZnIyA3NiLXRvcARncHJpZANlOFU3cG43OFMybVI2d0U2NWtZZmtBBG5fcnNsdAMxMARuX3N1Z2cDMARvcmlnaW4Dc2VhcmNoLnlhaG9vLmNvbQRwb3MDMARwcXN0cgMEcHFzdHJsAwRxc3RybAMyMQRxdWVyeQN5ZWxsb3cgbGVkYmVkZGVyIGxpdmUEdF9zdG1wAzEzNzI1NTg1MjY1NjAEdnRlc3RpZANBQ0JZMDM-?p=yellow+ledbedder+live&fr2=sb-top&fr=freeze&type=W3i_NA%2C173%2C0_0%2CTab+Search%2C20121042%2C6893%2C0%2C8%2C6290 Quote
magerogue Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Give peace a chance oughta be the most important one, but musically wise, it's not very complex. I'd rather say that Revolution is the best Anti War song. Quote
the chase Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Give peace a chance oughta be the most important one, but musically wise, it's not very complex. I'd rather say that Revolution is the best Anti War song. But that's why it's great.. the message is simple, loud and clear. Revolution is an excellent choice.. So This Is Christmas? as well.. imo Lennon was the greatest lyricist ... by far. Quote

Texas Melanie Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 What I find ironic is when Born in the USA is played as a patriotic song at sporting events or Fourth of July parades. Quote
Pagesbow Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 What I find ironic is when Born in the USA is played as a patriotic song at sporting events or Fourth of July parades. Every Breath You Take is misconstrued by some as a love song and played at their wedding. I don't think it's necessarily ironic, more that some people are stupid and don't even listen to the lyrics of a song properly. Quote
