McSeven
Both song are extended live. Which song do you prefer. Whats the best verion you have heard on the two songs? There is something about HMMT that I like better than DC. I think that the SRTS version of Dazed is the definitive song for any Dazed out there. The Filmore West San Francisco version of HMMT is the best live version followed by the RAH version. I guess for me HMMT has more Musical Layers. duckman
+1 How Many More Times is grabbing me more than Dazed. I do however prefer the studio version to any live version. The bow section just smokes I do admit the live verslon of Fillmore W on April 27 is great, but don't forget the Southampton 1973 rendition either ... Relaxed and jazzy A pity Jimmy didn't pull his bow on this one. I think I'll have a beer now, pick my headphones and have a listen to these three verslons Cheers Zepheads
McSeven
I have a lot of versions of HMMT on my iPod. I have the 1973 version as well.
magerogue
I thought they could have mixed them both by 75 but I guess they prefered to jam on cool riffs on Dazed, and maybe that's for the best. I love them both equaly.
SpookyE
I wan to say HMMT but there are some(if not all) D&C from the European 73 tour that kick ass!
Wolfman
Dazed. The solo.
ledzepfilm
How Many More Times is one of those songs you need to follow, and to some to "get the references." It's a "tight but loose" song. Dazed is one of those songs to lie down and get lost into the music. Better to do that with the longer versions. I'd love to add WLL (1971-1973) to this list. Those medleys are great. (Let's Have a Party, I Can't Quit You Babe, etc.) It's a tie between those two and WLL. All have their ups and downs.
The Only Way To Fly
HMMT! The medley's were/are fantsatisc. + the hook/WLL rif during the "Oh Rosie" at the Texas Fair gig & others just nail it for me. Its like a tease of what was to come.
Zeppelinesque
Dazed And Confused, of course! The SRTS version is perfect for you to lay down on your bed or couch and let yourself live the music, lose yourself in it. It's just great. Zeppelinesque! Strider77
HMMT for one reason: Montreux 70. Lyric and powerful, sweet introduction's riff (Susie Q) and a tremendous solo ! Jimmy was on fire this night. 25 min of pure joy ! Unlike Dazed, which when stretched, has a tendency to turn to a show of strength... so my choice goes to the RAH version.
