bonzo69
I havent posted in years but thought I would add to this thread. My father had passed last march at age 44 when I was just 24.. He being the die hard Zep fan he was, made me the fan I have been my whole life. Anyways, he had seen Plant,Page, and JPJ countless times together or solo. Always said the next time any of them are around he would take me. So I knew he'd be there in spirit. Brooklyn was my first time seeing PLant. I was in the lawn with my sister and others, having a great time. About half way through the show some guy was just walking out and gave me 2 tickets. They were 8th row. Couldnt believe it. Took my sister to the 8th row all the way to the left. Just then a usher guided us up against the stage. I stood in awe for the remainder of the night. I know that my father is the one that pulled some strings and made that happen. Ive been to over a hundred shows and this by far was the best! That's a great story and I'm sure your father was there in spirit for the show. Fate has it that you were able to get those free tix. Good for you. Your seats were fairly close to mine as I was on the left in row D. Pretty close up front and an incredible show.

I'm a firm believer of things not happening by pure chance...your dad wanted to make sure you had the time of your life, and you did. <
Lambeau Leap
Yep, that show is phenomenal! As soon as tickets were up for sale I secured myself a seat...I asked some friends if they wanted to come and they were like "Uhm, er, dunno, I'll have to think about it...." There are instances in life when you don't think, you act, and this is one of them! Their loss! Maybe your friends aren't into the "Soft Rock" that Plant and his current outfit are playing at these shows, it's not for everyone. Enjoy the show.... Enjoy the show.... I was at the show and it was hardly soft rock. Robert and his band rocked quite hard from the beginning.
Bayougal65
I was at the show and it was hardly soft rock. Robert and his band rocked quite hard from the beginning. I know, Dave...I agree 100%!!! It makes me wonder if Lambeau thinks Zeppelin were hokey for playing "Bron-y-aur Stomp", or soft for playing "The Rain Song"? Was Jimmy too "country sounding" when he played on TTW? I don't feel there is anything "soft" at all about Robert Plant's show... from the set, to the lighting, to the plantations(still looking for that F%$#ing Bridge), to the music! I think what Lambeau fails to realize is that Robert is probably one of the only artists that defies genre. He is exactly as Zeppelin always was, forever growing, mutating, changing, and learning as they go along.

Enjoy the show.... Actually, they're the types that would say "What, he's not doing STH?". Maybe it's best they stay home, since they can't appreciate Robert Plant for the consummate artist that he is well beyond that one song. Soft or hard rock, all I know is as soon as he starts doing LZ songs in whatever style I'm gonna get very emotional, as I've been waiting many, many years for the chance to see him live. Lambeau doesn't seem to know what he's talking about.
