They are responsible for the Health Care system going from the patients health being the #1 priority to turning huge profits being the #1 priority. The next push being brought forth is making profit on public education, make my words - it's gaining a foothold with corporations starting charter schools so they can dip into public funds - since the voucher system has never been allowed to take hold. Rick Scott is pushing that agenda down here, by changing laws and slanting the funding rules. No kidding, it's not bad enough that they are turning the nations youth who wish to improve and advance into wage slaves loaded down in years of student loan debt, let's sock it to the K-12 group as well. Maybe I am a socialist leaning piece of garbage, but I sure think its strange that the US is the only developed county that feels it is one snappy, good idea to profit off of the youth, those trying to achieve an education, and off of the sick. If there are two industries which should never, under any circumstance make a profit it is education and health care. Fun fact: The psychologist Edward Bernays is also the father of modern advertising. His principals of manipulating human want and need to produce the modern consumer who "has to have" all the useless gadgets and bullshit over what they actually, really need is pretty much 100% responsible for all this shit. Whereas governments of old who wished to suppress the proletariat (workers) simply killed them or sent them off to war to thin their number in the name of the father or mother-land, this guy found a better, much better way to not only keep the workers in check and in their place, but to make them believe it is their choice at the same time. Brilliant, evil genius if there ever was one. Check him out, really interesting guy. Bernays did through simple psychology what Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and many others could not do with violence. I love how all these socialists out there now insist health care and education should be non-profit enterprises, as if THAT will encourage the best and brightest to become doctors and teachers. That's right Steve, even though the rest of the developed world does that "socialist" thing with medicine they are all wrong and only the US is right. In my business when I get a patient who feels the world is wrong and only he / she is right we call that delusional. Ya know what Steve, I would also go so far to say that if monetary gain is the principal reason for anyone to go into the health care field they are probably far from being the best and brightest, after all if that were the case than the good doctor would be more motivated by profit than they would to deliver the best health care which is kinda a bad thing, ya know. There are certain callings in life where monetary gain means nothing compared to the satisfaction of helping your fellow human being. Health care is at the top of that list, and if anyone goes into such a field primarily to be wealthy vs. being the best doctor possible, the are most likely a pretty shitty doctor. I wasn't talking about care givers, doctors, and medical professionals. I was referring to Dick Chaney working over Nixon on behalf of the insurance industry, so they would be able to drop customers who paid for coverage, for when they needed it the most, only to be dropped by the company that gladly took all those premium payments when their customer was healthy. As far as education goes, I was referring to the laws in Florida regarding starting charter schools, which are public and receive public funds. They are now geared so that the only people who can start one have to have corporate backing. Luckily, the one my son attends was started by a group of people looking for a better education and educational experience for their children, 17 years ago. It remains the model for all "mom & pop" charter schools in the state, with many going onto Ivy League schools and other top universities. This school DOES inspire kids to become the next great doctors and teachers and doesn't run to make a profit for its share holders. Unfortunately it's in the minority in every way. I guess from a pure technical point it is not a conspiracy theory because it has in fact been destroyed. You realize that banks are simply printing pieces of paper which have ZERO intrinsic value? The central banks have very little reserves, and in some cases no gold reserves, that money you have in your wallet is not backed by anything except your belief that the government knows best... IpMan Posted February 24, 2015 Share Posted February 24, 2015 If it were a nuke the cloud would glow for several minutes to several hours depending on the type & fuel (simple fission bomb, thermo-nuclear, fission-fusion bomb etc), and the shock wave and heat would be prominent. Not a daisy cutter either otherwise those guys filming it would be suffocating from lack of oxygen due to how air-fuel bombs work (pulling in all air around it for several miles). I have seen daisy cutters deployed and I know what they can do. BTW, the Russians have always had the bigger is better mentality and it's stupid and wasteful. I would take accuracy over yield any day. That massive Hind attack helicopter they have is the biggest piece of junk ever made, the Mujahideen dropped those tin cans by the dozen in the 80's, after all it's never a good idea to design an attack helicopter the size of two tanks put together, nor one which cannot turn to save its life...which it didn't. The Soviet machine was a paper tiger, everyone knows that, one A-10 would have decimated a hundred T-72's in less than five minutes and come back for more.
