Ok gang, let's start a Robert Plant twitter thread. We can all bring over tweets. ProPlant I am glad you are at peace with it all. Twitter is a useful tool for musicians, etc. as their people can block the morons when then get too moronic and Tweet updates, photos, music for the real fans like us. Plus we can quickly communicate with Robert (or whomever is speaking for him). With such a small format, I personally think Robert will get involved with it from time to time. Robert being ROBERT-EGO probably would not let it go. What a treat it will be for us, to hear from the man himself.

Cookie, will you be the leader of this? CLW, darlin' you can twitter to your heart's content with Robert now. We can all follow @RobertPlant and therefore, each other at the same time. We can trade handles later.

This is all excitement to me. I use Twitter often. I am having fun on @LedZepNews, Cookie. I asked a tame question "When is your new album coming out?" I think they may answer this one. The questions about lemons, jeans, etc. I mean really. The man is going to be 65 years old this month. Maybe these morons don't know that. Well, there is always the "Hot Pics of Robert Thread." :shifty:

I go to HPOR quite often, what are you saying? :watchingyou::P

I can't tell you how much this made me laugh considering it was you who asked it CLW...and I mean that in the nicest way. I'm about 99% sure that HPOR is the "Hot Pictures of Robert" thread

Not to be dumb but what is HPOR

P.S - Cookie, you run LedZepNews on Twitter?? I follow it - love it - very informative

Haha, that's one of the Led Zeppelin accounts I DO see! But how good would it be to have Robert posting random thoughts all day long?

And yes, I do all the LedZepNews tweets, thank you!

Love your YouTube channel

Oh, please do that!!! Cookie are you going to create a RP Twitter Thread? Or, do you want me to do it? I think you would be the better person to do it. We could put all things Twitter on it. News, Plantations and @RobertPlant.

Yeah, it's an unprofessional and embarrassing thing to do, but I doubt it's from a lack of responses. If they were lacking decent ones then any average social media agency would make some up.

You can tell from the graphics used and the verification tick mark that Robert's Twitter is being run by an agency with either in-house designers or they've sub-contracted the elements out. The verification process also needs to be expertly managed. We're talking several thousand at least for the profile establishment and posts, not a trivial spend.

They want to spread the news themselves. Leaving it to someone like me is dangerous because I may not convey the exact message that they want.

I doubt we'll get anything interesting from this. It's probably not the point. It's a fun distraction to build up fan interaction and establish a loyal following. That gets the account ready to share news in the future.

After looking at the new website design for robertplant.com it would appear you are right about him getting a new team hired to revamp things. Wow

Wow, yeah, that's one expensive website. Looks like his label has hired Big Hassle to do his PR, they're a good firm (but not cheap). This is definitely part of the marketing budget for an album rather than simply revamping Robert's online presence.

Also, the launch of the new website could be responsible for the delay in the Twitter questions. They probably wanted to get everything ready for launch. There's still a few bugs on the site, so I'm guessing they needed an extra day to get it up.

robertplant.gifLegendary musician and ex-Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant is re-launching his digital platforms – creating an all-new website, video-rich content and an increased presence on social media, allowing fans a new and easier way to connect with the musical icon.

The re-launch, which includes a brand new logo, has been carried out across all areas of Robert’s social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and YouTube and will see the official launch of a ‘Robert Plant Official’ Instagram account, featuring never before seen personal photos of his life on the road, at home and in the recording studio.

The changes have been produced by LoveLive. Their experience in delivering creative and strategic digital solutions for artists prompted a complete re-design of his website with global fans and multi-media at the heart of the strategy. The LoveLive team ensured that Robert Plant’s prolific recording career, tours and stellar musical achievements sit firmly at the core of the output.

We are delighted to be collaborating with Robert and his team and to be his chosen digital specialists. Robert has been extremely hands-on and involved in the process throughout, and our shared digital and social strategy, not to mention trawl through the video vaults, will enable fans around the world to connect with Robert in a way never previously made possible. We are looking to provide the definitive fan experience for one of music’s most important artists and cannot wait to open the floodgates. – a spokesperson for LoveLive said

LOL! Just when some were complaining about too many lemons in the fans' questions, the Man himself gives us lemons aplenty! Come on guys, it's just good fun. In fact I would love to see him reply with a positive answer to a moronic teenager proposing her "services"... Even if he's 64 years-old, it's Robert f****** Plant after all!
