DAS Posted August 26, 2013 Share Posted August 26, 2013 As I was just reminded by paul carruthers that we haven't set up the game this year, here 'tis. The rules are simple: 1. Someone will post the NFL games for the week. Everyone will predict who will win the games before kickoff. 2. Late entries are accepted in the event you miss Thursday night football, the noon games or even afternoon games. Only the games you predicted before kickoff count. 3. Anyone can join at any time during the season. Since the best way to count is by percentage to account for missed picks and weeks only people who participate for the majority of the season (at least 9 weeks) will be counted at the end of the year. 4. When the results are posted at the end of the week everyone is responsible for double checking their own score. We had a lot of errors last year no matter who was doing the tally. It happens, that's why we double check each other. 5. Anyone can post the weeks results. I tried to do it all last year and it became a way bigger pain than it was worth. 6. Scoring is as follows: Guessed Right-Guessed Wrong-Team Tied. So if I guessed ten games correct, five wrong and one game tied (regardless of who I picked) my score for the week would be 10-5-1. Nobody would be foolish enough to play their starters in the final preseason games & risk an injury, nobody except Rex Ryan maybe, lol. Denver (Denver is my pick to go to the Super Bowl from the AFC, and I expect no one from their secondary will fall down & give up a 70 yard bomb) New England (Sorry Rick) Cincinnati (Could be the Bears, but I'm going with the hot pick from the AFC North) Miami (Ungh, the Dolphins) Atlanta Tampa Bay Pittsburgh (Is the Steel Curtain back? I guess we'll find out) Minnesota Indianapolis Seattle Kansas City (Chiefs better win this one, DAS ) St. Louis Green Bay (My other Super Bowl pick, the Packers. I'm trusting their defensive woes will be corrected this year, but this pick could bite me in the ass.) Dallas Washington Houston Well, that's it. Lots of tough games to begin with. I am surprised by the Green Bay pick over the 49ers on the road. I am not convinced Cincy is so big and bad as they are saying. The Chargers to me might be the Cowboys of the AFC, they will always find a way to disappoint you. And yes, I know I picked Dallas to win.
