kingzoso Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 As Smart (or Dumb) as I think I am, I could never really figure out how Royalties are paid out to Great Bands like Led Zeppelin and others that still sell Hundreds of Thousands or Millions of Records, Tapes (?), Compact Discs, Downloads, Etc... every year. With a Band like Led Zeppelin, Their Music (in any format) must sell in the Thousands every day. I am talking about sales in every Country in the World. (Right now, at this Very moment, there is someone buying some form of Led Zeppelin's Music, whether it be a 13 year old or a 63 year old). My question is: how does the buying of Led Zeppelin's Music transfer in to the Coffers of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, the John Bonham Estate and the Peter Grant Estate? Quote

Yeah, we have and apologies to kingzoso but it's a dull topic. Royalties, publishing, ASCAP, etc...the phrase "google it" seems appropriate. Quote
