Still fine to join. The games in Australia count of course and in the grand scheme of things, in a 162 game schedule it will not matter one bit. I have the Dodgers and Arizona making it. But I may be in trouble if Corbin is done. Still think Arizona has a good team. So Paul, are you holding down the fort? LOL

Goddamn Bud Selig! Who has the Opening Day occur half a world away in the midst of the hubbub of March Madness, so that it is all but lost in the shuffle? Would a giant wolverine just devour him already and rid us of this incompetent baboon!

I don't follow baseball like I did as a kid, but I can't pass up a LZ forum sporting contest!

Gosh, jb126, you've made my day! The creative names usually flow when the alcohol flows, so I have no clue what to expect.

Only 2 teams I care about and why:

Toronto Blue Jays (The Dominion's team, long live the Colony)

And Arizona Diamondbacks - I have family in a suburb called Tempe, was there when they won the World Series 15 years ago and it was fun

On a side note, the Oakland Athletics would host training and summer camp in Arizona

Well its great to see the participation. I see Bongman has snubbed my Orioles. Dang. I knew I should have snubbed the Tigers. But anyway, the season is about to truly start. I have laid money on my boy Tillman to beat Boston on opening day.

I will officially name Paul as co operator of this thread if he is ok with it? I certainly will need your help Paul. And I know you are on top of what is going on. So good luck to all. At some point soon one of us will list all participants . Play Ball!!!1 :popcorn2:

If it's any help I printed out everyone's picks. There are nine of us entered so far...Rick, Paul, Walter, zepscoda, ebk, jabe, jb126, Bong-Man, and yours truly. Good luck everyone.

Thanks Strider. It seems only you, myself and Zepscoda have the stones to pick the O's to win the East. Not even EBK? Wow. At least she gave us a wild card.

Oh, Walter has the Yankees in. Bwahahahaha

Well, since the season is one week old I thought I would post the standings after 1 week; tonight after the finish of the ESPN Sunday Night game. After that, all updates will come at the end of each month....

Sounds good. Maybe if you can find Strider's sheet and just print it, it may make it easier than having to go through all the threads? Just a thought
