The Dark Lord Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) They are not uncommon. Another example is seen on ITTOD where Peter Grant receives a writing credit for I'm Gonna Crawl. It was later fixed, and Grant was replaced by Plant. It happens, but it doesn't really do anything for value. Edited March 14, 2014 by The Dark Lord Quote
henrybonzo Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) cool, didnt think so about value, just nice to have unique finds, cheers for the info i have this too, is it really worth that much? seems silly http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-ZEPPELIN-III-1970-Vinyl-LP-Red-Plum-MISPRESS-First-Press-2401-002-/350798994766?pt=UK_Records&hash=item51ad3fdd4e Edited March 14, 2014 by henrybonzo Quote
jsj Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 it does seem silly doesn't it, but ridiculous prices are asked for such things. monitor how it goes on ebay and you may get an idea of what folk will pay for it Quote
Oleg Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 All German pressings (except first 3, that were pressed in USA) have "Dazaed and Confused" on them. Even some other European pressing(like Italian), that used same matrix have this mistake Quote
henrybonzo Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 Haha none of them are for sale, heirlooms for the kids Quote

The Dark Lord Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 it does seem silly doesn't it, but ridiculous prices are asked for such things. monitor how it goes on ebay and you may get an idea of what folk will pay for it In the vast majority of cases this is not true. Mistakes are a dime a dozen, although some rare ones are valuable. What's the value of a LZ1 LP with a timing of 3:30 on HMMT? Nothing at all. Any value in the LP is derived from other features.
