Yes, I think most would agree with your list! That was shameless of Lionel Ritchie to ripoff the album title for his song. :bubble:

Strange order isn't it? That's what 36 years of listening has done to these ears. Some of the less listened to albums have found new appreciation in my library.

"Ramble On"

Leaves are falling all around, It's time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay.
But now it's time for me to go. The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it's headed my way.
Sometimes I grow so tired, but I know I've got one thing I got to do...
Ramble On, And now's the time, the time is now, to sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, Ramble On,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
Got no time to for spreadin' roots, The time has come to be gone.
And to' our health we drank a thousand times, it's time to Ramble On.
Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.
How years ago in days of old, when magic filled the air.
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah.
Gonna ramble on, sing my song. Gotta keep-a-searchin' for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world. I can't stop this feelin' in my heart
Gotta keep searchin' for my baby. I can't find my bluebird.

I'm just listing studio albums here, so I left TSRTS, CD, BBC and HTWWW out of my list.

LZ III especially has rewon my interest lately. That order of songs from Friends, CD, SIBLY, OOTT, Gallows Pole, Tangerine and That's The Way... brillant. Out On The Tiles to me is the essence of the first three, maybe even the first 4 LZ albums. Excellent song. The whole album grows on you the more you listen to it. Very underrated IMO.

HOTH has given us TSRTS, Rain Song and No Quarter; some of the best live songs from LZ in my opinion. But because they're so good live, I just don't like they studio versions any more (especially those high and slighty speed-up Plant vocals!).

And yes; I've placed LZ I last in my list. It's a brillant album, I just like the others more. As more people have mentioned, it's a matter of tast ofcourse.

Well Immigrant Song,Celebration Day and Out On The Tiles is great!

No offence intended Jimm, but until you also love the lighter side of Zeppelin, you have missed the full brilliance of this band. They tried hard to bring change and variety to their music, and it is all so full of talent.
